Everyone believes they want to be a pro and will do whatever it takes, but in reality, this is far from the truth. It is still a possibility for this to become true if you change your mindset and implement the tips I give in this blog!

1. You aren't honest with your ability

Honesty is difficult because we feel better when we take responsibility from ourselves and put it on someone else. Whether that is making excuses as to why we didn't score the goal or why we didn't complete our passes. Whatever the excuse is, it does you no good for your development to keep on this path. So, if this has been you in the past then we need to change this right now. You have to hear the truth and accept this to be true now, but it doesn't have to be true forever. Growth in soccer occurs when we are honest with where we are at and decide to not let it define you but to use it as motivation to go for it and push to being a better player!

2. You aren't putting in extra work

Your motto has to be get to practice early and leave late. If you have that mentality, it will help with your progress. extra work over an extended amount of time adds up. If you're a striker and aren't getting reps because you aren't arriving early, and staying late, then it will be difficult to be proficient in front of goal. It is up to you and what you want to achieve in the game!

3. You haven’t asked coaches for feedback

You'll never know what you need to improve on until you have a conversation with your coaches. It is important because coaches will let you know what you need to improve on and how you can bounce back from poor performances or mistakes.

4. You haven’t fully committed to the process

The question you have to ask yourself is how bad do you really want it, and are you willing to sacrifice in ways that not many players do? If the answer is yes, good, you are taking the appropriate steps by coming to our page and learning from the best. If the answer is no that's ok, you have to remind yourself if you don't see the results you wished for, it is probably because of your output.
