HE is my favorite player right now! If he keeps playing the way he does, he will eventually be in my top 5 favorite players. I love this player and love his story. A local boy from Liverpool who now is a starter from his boyhood club. Playing for your local club doesn’t happen often, so it must be magical for him every day.

 1. His Service

In the modern game, service is needed. Not just service in wide areas but service into the striker. Not many full-backs can do this, but Alexander-Arnold can. When I watch him play, I notice his involvement in the attack. He gets assist and is making the pass to the player who is getting the assist, which is very important.  If you play fullback, you have to work on service. Strikers depend on you putting the ball in spots where they can score goals, it's that simple.

2. His technical ability

Technical ability is high priority. When he has the ball at his feet, he isn't a liablity. He knows what to do and how to be effective. Players take for granted time on the ball. If you play a 90 min game, you might touch the ball 15 times. Of those 15 times, how many were productive and effective for the teams success?

3. His 1 v 1 Defending

At the end of the day, you have to be able to defend. You do your team no good if you cant be reliable on the defensive side of theball. Full backs, take pride in your defending, it is what makes you stand out from the crowd.

4. His willingness to get into the attack

You have to be honest and get up and down the field. If you tend to stay back, you aren't giving your team the numerical advantage in the attacking third. You have to score to win, which means full-backs have to get involved and not be afraid to push forward. In Soccer, you have to be brave and go for it. Hestiency and passiveness is not going to get you closer to your goals. good luck!
