I’m not playing well, Help!

I’m not playing well, Help

There will be times where nothing you do in the game seems to work. BEcause this feeling sometimes overtakes us, we find ourselves not playing well. When you are not playing well, it is painful and not a fun feeling. So, what next? Do you continue down this path, or do you decide to make things better? These feelings are normal, and plenty of players have felt what you're experiencing. Don't give up; you'll regret it if you do. Here are the three things I've learned to do when I wasn't playing well.

1. Take a second and breathe

A lot of times, we get caught up in the moment, and we forget to breathe and relax. In the grand scheme of things, this is a tiny setback. What's most important in these moments is how you handle the adversity. When setbacks occur, what is your default? Is it to complain and feel sorry for yourself? Or is it to wipe yourself off and continue to try and achieve your dreams.

2. Extra work

Get to practice early, and stay late. This has to be the mindset. Keep working on perfecting your craft. When you're playing poorly, it isn't the time to feel sorry for yourself and give up. Now is the time to go harder. Now is the time to leave everything out there and push yourself to the limits. The saying goes, " The Harder I work, the luckier I get." Remember this quote going forward!

3. Remind yourself you're capable

It is easy to speak negatively of yourself and make yourself feel inadequate. It's difficult to praise and tell yourself you're capable of being great. Everyone with the correct mindset and focus can be great; it takes time and the appropriate framework. Talk yourself up, enjoy the journey, and continue to push yourself through the tough times.
